Comfort Touch is a special type of massage designed to bring benefits to our hospice patients. Comfort Touch provides comfort through techniques that promote deep relaxation and relief from pain.
It is safe, appropriate and effective for those whom conventional massage may cause discomfort. It can be calming and soothing to the patient and it may help to relieve tension, pain and anxiety.

Comfort Touch is done by a certified massage therapist in the position that is most comfortable for the patient, usually in their own bed; sometimes in a wheelchair or recliner.

Comfort Touch is SSM Hospice & Home Care Foundation’s gift to hospice patients and is funded by donations.
